چکیده
Despite clear evidence of the potential benefits gained by being physically active, children and adolescents (collectively youth) often fail to achieve recommended daily 60 min moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA). Focusing on youth in context provides starting point for intervention design, but design implementation effective interventions that leverage behavioral theory, evidence, knowledge about settings remains a formidable challenge. This conceptual review aims address critically relevant concepts, principles, from literature guide target leader behavior toward reducing problem insufficient MVPA. The need distinguish between goals increase MVPA within setting overall/daily is emphasized. addresses theoretical practical considerations where spend time each day. Included an investigation what gaps exist current approaches intervene through leaders settings. Informed both theory extant solutions are discussed, including synthesis novel framework settings-based capabilities, opportunities, motivations behaviors across multiple levels.
